Do you spend over $100 a month at your local Kroger's supermarket?  Would you like to help two parents send their daughter to a Catholic school by merely buying your groceries at Kroger, something you already do?  Would you like to get a free $5 gift card to Kroger as a thank you?

We’re giving this to you in the hope you will help my wife and me pay for our daughter's Catholic school tuition as you shop at Kroger.  There’s no extra expense involved.  It involves nothing more than what you already do: shop for groceries.

How does my shopping at Kroger help pay their Catholic school tuition?

Very simply, Kroger will deposit 5% of your purchases, send the money to her Catholic school and apply a portion to their daughter's tuition for the next school year. It costs you nothing!

How does this work?

You would receive a free $5 Kroger gift card in the mail from us, her parents.

As you shop at Kroger, you will need to recharge the gift card at the Kroger service desk or at one of the registers.  The card must be recharged and paid for prior to being used as payment for groceries.  The gift card recharge must be done as a SEPARATE transaction BEFORE ringing up any groceries.  Gift cards may be recharged in any amount up to $500 and can be paid with cash, check or credit card.  You will continue to use the same card over and over.

Each time you re-load the gift card, the family will get 4% of your purchases sent to the Catholic school and applied to the girl's tuition.  In addition, the Catholic school will get 1% of your purchases for the welfare of all the student body.  (For example, if you placed $100 on your Kroger Gift Card, our daughter's tuition will have $4 deducted from it, and the school as a whole will get $1. Now imagine the help you can be to our family,  if you spend $1,200 over the course of a year:  our daughter's tuition would be reduced by $1,200 x 4% = $48 and the school's general fund would get $1,200 x 1% = $12.  And it costs you nothing but a few moments of your time, plus, we give you the first $5 to thank you in advance!)

It costs you nothing more than what you would normally buy at Kroger, but it does require taking just a moment of your time to recharge your card as a SEPARATE transaction PRIOR to making your purchase.

If in the event that the gift card cannot be recharged (occasionally a card gets demagnetized and cannot be recharged), contact the 800 number on the card to get you a new card. The card value will be transferred to another card.  If your card is ever lost or stolen, e-mail us immediately.  We will notify the school. The school will contact Kroger with your card number and monies can be transferred to a new card.

It’s really very, very easy, especially since you can recharge by cash, check or credit card at the register and gift cards can also be used at Kroger fuel centers.

All we ask is when you go to Kroger's, please use this card.

How do I start?

1.  ONLY if you are truly interested AND would use the Kroger Gift Card regularly, click on the following link and send an e-mail to us, the parents.  Since we pay for the initial $5 to be placed on your Kroger Gift Card out of our limited funds, we simply have to ask that you truly be sincere in your willingness to use the card. You can remain anonymous, if you desire, just send us your initials and your mailing address.  mailto:stjoe4u2@yahoo.com?subject=Kroger Gift Card or stjoe4u2@yahoo.com and write "Kroger Gift Card" in the subject line.

2.  We will send you a return e-mail just to confirm that you really want to help us.  Return that e-mail and we will get started.

3.  Within 2 weeks you will receive a free Kroger Gift Card with $5 already on it.  Please charge up the card, as a SEPARATE TRANSACTION, before making your Kroger purchases.  Keep re-charging the same card each time you shop at Kroger.

Kroger will keep track and send the funds directly to the school.  The parents never touch the money directly. When the tuition is due, the Catholic school deducts the amount from the daughter's tuition bill.  Our daughter is in sixth grade, and even the Catholic high schools in our area use the same Kroger program.  So your purchases at Kroger, using this Kroger gift card, will benefit us through the remainder of her grade school years AND four years of high school that follow!  So, for the next six years you can help us by merely using that Kroger gift card that we will send you!

Please e-mail us ONLY if you are truly interested AND will use the Kroger Gift Card.  We pay for your first $5 ourselves out of our limited funds, so we ask you to be sincere and willing to help.

We thank you in advance for considering this.  Last year, we saved $296 on our tuition bill due to our immediate family and close friends.  But, you well know, that Catholic school tuition today is in the thousands of dollars.  Every penny will help us pay for a quality, Catholic education for our daughter.
